Arcom was alerted following a documentary on the emergency measures adopted by the municipality of L'Haÿ-les-Roses to limit the impact of the fuel shortage, shown on the Journal de 13h on October 14, 2022 on France 2.
It considered that the decision to interview the mayor of the municipality, as well as the decision to devote this documentary to the sometimes atypical emergency measures put in place to fight the fuel shortage, fell within the channel's editorial freedom.
The Authority therefore considered that the documentary did not constitute a breach of the channel's obligations, and took no action against the service editor.
