Arcom was alerted to comments made by a political guest about Algerians and people of Arab-Muslim origin during the BFM Politiqueprogram , broadcast on BFM TV on November 2, 2025.
In this case, it considered that the disputed comments portrayed a worrying and threatening image of groups of people targeted because of their origin, nationality or religion. What's more, the comments made by those present on the set did not sufficiently condemn the disputed remarks.
Consequently, the Autorité has firmly requested the publisher to ensure that, in future, it complies with its obligations under article 15 of the law of September 30, 1986, as well as articles 2-2-1 and 2-3-2 of its agreement.
