Arcom was alerted following the diffusion on BFM TV, on June 26, 2024, in the program BFM Story, of the following banner: " MELENCHON au pouvoir, fini pour les juifs ", which repeated a statement made by the program's guest.
The Authority noted that the words in the banner in question were accompanied by quotation marks, showing that they were a quote and not information.
It also noted that this statement had been firmly contradicted on set.
Nevertheless, Arcom summoned the channel's attention to the need to ensure that, in all circumstances, it complies with the requirements of honesty and rigor in the presentation of information, particularly with regard to the sources of information.
