Arcom was alerted following the diffusion in the Ça se dispute program, on November 8, 2024 on CNEWS, of videos presented as showing acts of violence against Israeli supporters on the sidelines of a soccer match.
While it noted that the images in question had not been the subject of on-set commentary, the Authority considered that they could nevertheless have misled viewers, since they did not correspond to the overall content of the on-air commentary.
Consequently, the Authority summoned the service editor's attention to the need to ensure, in all circumstances, that the images presented on air correspond to the subject they illustrate, in accordance with the provisions of article 2 of the deliberation of April 18, 2018.
