Pursuant to the first paragraph of article 42-3 of the French law of September 30, 1986, Arcom decided not to oppose the modification of the capital of Société d'édition de Canal Plus (SECP), publisher of the Canal+ service, insofar as this capital development, which does not result in any change of control, is not such as to compromise the fundamental imperative of plurality and the public interest.

It also approved a draft amendment to the agreement signed with the company on December 4, 2020, updating the holder's shareholding, incorporating stipulations negotiated as part of the proceedings to renew the related authorization, including the obligations of the Canal+ Box Office program (a new version of the Canal+ service), and changing the name of the Canal+ Cinéma program to Canal+ Cinéma(s).

Lastly, the Authority approved a draft amendment to the agreement signed with SECP on February 15, 2023, applicable from January 1, 2024, to incorporate the latest changes to the agreement currently in force.
