Diffusion of a message in favor of a trade union within advertising screens: intervention with several channels
Arcom noted that a message in favor of a union organization had been shown on advertising screens on the BFM TV, L'Equipe, LCI, RMC Découverte, RMC Story, TFX, TF1 Séries Films and TMC channels, as well as on Europe 1 and several services that are members or affiliates of GIE Les Indés Radios, in the run-up to the civil service elections scheduled for December 1 and 8, 2022.
It considered that this diffusion was contrary to the provisions of articles 2 and 14 of the decree of March 27, 1992 laying down the general principles defining the obligations of service editors with regard to advertising, sponsorship and teleshopping.
It therefore demanded that the television service editors concerned ensure compliance with advertising regulations in the future.
