On Sunday April 24, 2022, Arcom noted that the TV5 Monde channel had shown, at around 6pm and 7pm, the comments of voters revealing the direction of their vote for the second round of the presidential election. At around 6pm, it also showed a brief sequence during which the candidates spoke.

Broadcast during the reserve period, these sequences contravene the provisions of article L. 49 of the French Electoral Code, which stipulates that " as of midnight on the eve of the ballot, it is forbidden to show or have shown, by any means of communication to the public by electronic means, any message having the character of electoral propaganda " .

In view of the above, the Authority has demanded that the channel ensure that, in future elections, it complies with the schemes applicable on the day before and on polling day.
