The French Superior Audiovisual Council, which became the Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (Arcom) on January1, 2022, has been alerted about interviews conducted during the program On est en direct shown on France 2 on September 26 and October 2, 2021.
The Council did not find any breach by the channel of its ethical obligations. Indeed, given the political context and upcoming electoral challenges, the channel was free, under the principle of editorial freedom, to discuss issues of general interest with its guests.
