Arcom has been contacted by a presidential candidate concerning the exposure of his candidacy and his party in the audiovisual media.

As Arcom recently had occasion to point out in its reply of January 19, its role is to ensure that, up to the day of publication of the list of candidates by the Constitutional Council, declared or presumed candidates and their supporters receive fair speaking time and airtime from radio and television stations.

It will regularly review the speaking and airtime of presidential candidates and their supporters to ensure that they comply with the criteria set out in its notice.
