Exposure of a presidential candidacy in the audiovisual media: response to a submission of a case before the court
Arcom has received a complaint from a presidential candidate concerning his access to audiovisual media for the period from January 1 to February 27, 2022.
In the light of the statements of speaking time and airtime communicated to it by the channels covering the whole of the first period of the campaign for the presidential election (January 1-March 7, 2022), Arcom observed, after asking the publishers concerned to make the necessary corrections, that the exposure the candidate had received had generally proved to be in line with the criteria of representativeness and animation of the electoral debate set out in its notice of October 6, 2021.
