Arcom received a request from a presidential candidate concerning her access to audiovisual media during the presidential election campaign.
It replied that, in view of the statements of speaking time and airtime communicated by the channels for the first period of the campaign (January 1 - March 7, 2022), it had observed that Mrs. Hidalgo's exposure complied with the principle of fairness on a large number of channels, but that some of them had not fully complied with this obligation.
The Authority therefore intervened firmly to demand that these channels comply with these rules during the second campaign period, which began on March 8, 2022.
