Arcom was alerted to sequences of the Face à l'info program, broadcast on April 17 and 18, 2024 on CNews, during which the program's female presenter promoted a magazine.

In the programme shown on April 17, 2024, the Authority first noted the self-indulgent presentation of a survey of the magazine in question, as well as the on-screen display of its cover.

In the following day's broadcast, the Authority also noted that the female presenter had ostensibly offered this magazine title to those present on set, verbally quoting its name and presenting its cover to viewers on two occasions.

In the Authority's view, these two sequences were promotional in nature and in breach of the ban on surreptitious advertising laid down in article 9 of the decree of March 27, 1992.

Consequently, it warned the service editor against repeating such breaches.
