The French Superior Audiovisual Council, which became the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication (Arcom) on January1, 2022, received a complaint from a candidate in the 2022 presidential election that his candidacy was not included in published polls of voting intentions.

The Conseil replied that it was not competent to rule on the conditions under which opinion polls, particularly electoral polls, are carried out, this falling within the competence of the Commission des sondages.
