Arcom was alerted to comments made in the France 2022 program, shown on France 2 on June 9, 2022.

It considered that the sequence had not exceeded the limits set by law on freedom of expression, which is heightened, as in this case, in the managerial context of political polemics, particularly during election periods. In this respect, it points out that, according to the established case law of the European Court of Human Rights, freedom of expression applies " not only to information or ideas that are favourably received or regarded as inoffensive or as a matter of indifference, but also to those that offend, shock or disturb the State or any section of the population".

Consequently, the Authority did not take any action against the service editor.
