The French Superior Audiovisual Council, which became the Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuel et numérique (Arcom) on January 1, 2022, was informed by the Canal+ channel of the free-to-air diffusion of the first episode of season 2 of the series Validé on Monday October 11.
It pointed out that this diffusion was in breach of article 3-1-2 of its agreement, which makes provision for free-to-air slots to be divided between the morning, midday and pre-evening periods. In fact, this diffusion, which took place on October 11, 2021 from 9:17 pm to 9:49 pm, cannot be considered as "pre-evening".
The Council has demanded that the channel's managers ensure compliance with the aforementioned contractual stipulation.
