Le 7/9" broadcast on April 28, 2022: response to the plaintiffs
Arcom was alerted to comments made on the program Le 7/9, shown on France Inter on April 28, 2022.
It considered that the comments in question, which were part of the political controversy surrounding the legislative elections, did not constitute a breach of the station's obligations.
The Authority points out that, according to the established case law of the European Court of Human Rights, freedom of expression applies " not only to information or ideas that are favorably received or regarded as inoffensive or as a matter of indifference, but also to those that offend, shock or disturb the State or any section of the population".
Consequently, the Authority did not intervene against the service editor.
