Arcom was alerted to remarks made against people with schizophrenia disorders during a sequence shown on the program Le Club Le Chatelier, broadcast on LCI on March 11, 2022.

In 2019, Arcom, audiovisual operators and the Secrétariat d'Etat auprès du Premier ministre chargé des personnes handicapées worked together to draw up a Charter on the portrayal of disabled people and disability in the audiovisual media, one of the aims of which is to improve the portrayal of disabled people and disability in the audiovisual media, both quantitatively and qualitatively, and to help develop society's view of disabled people.

The Authority has reminded the LCI channel of its commitments under the Charter, and in particular the importance of using the right words to prevent the misuse of words or expressions borrowed from disability situations, likely to convey prejudices about disability or hurt the feelings of people with disabilities.
