Arcom was alerted to the promotion, on September 3, 2022, during the day and within the program Les grands live on L'Equipe, of the evening's diffusion on the channel of the mixed martial arts (MMA) championship organized by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) league.
It noted that the sequences in question were not trailers for the event itself. As such, the publisher was not in breach of the regulations.
It did, however, consider that the channel's decision to promote the diffusion of a program not recommended for under-16s during the daytime of an all-audience program was regrettable.
Consequently, Arcom summoned the publisher to be more vigilant about daytime promotions for such programs.
