Arcom was alerted to a segment shown on the France 2 program L'Évènement on September 11, 2025, featuring Mr. Mathieu Pigasse.

It considered that the on-air presentation of Mr. Pigasse in his sole capacity as a company director, despite the fact that he had already publicly stated his political views and that he is co-founder of Mediawan, which produces some of France Télévisions' flagship programs, did not fully meet the requirements of honesty and rigorous reporting.

Arcom therefore reminded the channel of the need to provide viewers with all the information they needed to fully understand the quality of on-air contributors and the scope of their comments.

The Authority also informed the plaintiffs that in September 2025, the France Télévisions group introduced a charter aimed at strengthening transparency regarding the commitments of guests appearing in its documentaries and on its sets.
