The French Superior Audiovisual Council (Arcom since January1, 2022) was alerted to comments made on the program L'Heure des pros shown on CNews on August 23, 2021.
It observed that the guest's highly controversial and questionable remarks about Covid-19 treatments and vaccine had given rise to a contradictory exchange on set, allowing different points of view to be expressed. Furthermore, it considered that, in the light of the applicable texts, the reported statements could not be construed as an express incitement to dangerous, delinquent or uncivil behavior.
Consequently, the Council did not intervene with the publisher.
