"L'Heure des pros" show broadcast on December 5, 2023: intervention with CNews

Arcom was alerted about an editorial concerning the death of a youngster in Crépol, held in the program L'Heure des pros shown on December 5, 2023 on CNews.

While noting that the statements reported were part of an editorial espousing a committed and assertive bias, benefiting from increased freedom of expression, the Authority considered that some of the comments made, devoid of oratorical precautions and stated in a declarative mode, did not meet the requirements of measure, rigor and honesty set by the aforementioned provisions of article 3 of the deliberation of April 18, 2018.

Consequently, it demanded that the service editor demonstrate, in the future, greater vigilance with regard to compliance with the aforementioned provisions, particularly when the subject is particularly sensitive.
