L'Heure des pros" show broadcast on February 27, 2023: intervention with CNews

Arcom was alerted to a segment devoted to a Spanish law aimed at reforming the provisions of the penal code relating to the legal sanctions incurred for animal abuse, shown on the program L'Heure des pros on February 27, 2023 on CNews.

It noted that the program's female presenter had incorrectly stated that a law had been passed which was still under discussion at the time, and that this law decriminalized certain sexual acts with animals, which was confirmed by a scrolling banner.

Consequently, the Authority reminded the service editor of the need to ensure, strictly and in all circumstances, that it met its obligations in terms of honesty and rigor in the processing and presentation of information, particularly with regard to its validity.
