Arcom was alerted to comments made during the L'Heure des pros program shown on CNews on June 5, 2023.
In accordance with the case law developed by the European Court of Human Rights since the Handyside v. United Kingdom judgment of December 7, 1976, Arcom found that these comments did not exceed the limits of freedom of expression, which applies " not only to information or ideas that are favorably received or regarded as inoffensive or as a matter of indifference, but also to those that offend, shock or disturb the State or any section of the population ".
