L'Heure des pros" show broadcast on May 4, 2022: response to the plaintiffs

Arcom was alerted to comments made on the program L'Heure des pros, broadcast on CNews on May 4, 2022, during which a guest suggested that a causal link could be established between his wife's injections of the Covid-19 vaccine and her contracting and dying of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease.

The Authority noted that this link had not been formally established during the sequence, and that the female presenter had instead explicitly stated, following the testimony, that it was not a question of calling the vaccination into question.

Taking into account the particular circumstances of the case, it therefore considered that this sequence did not constitute a breach by the channel of its obligation to provide honest information.

Consequently, the Authority did not take any action against the service editor.
