Arcom has been alerted to comments made on the L'Heure des pros program shown on CNews on October 14, 2021. Their author attributed criminal behavior to migrant people and insinuated that people of the Muslim faith were behind anti-Semitic crimes.
The Authority noted that these remarks related to a subject of general interest - French immigration policy - and did not target an entire population category on the grounds of its origin or religion. In the light of the applicable texts and case law, it therefore considered that the channel's failure to meet its obligations could not be justified.
Consequently, the Authority took no action against the publisher.
