The French Superior Audiovisual Council (French Superior Audiovisual Council), which became the Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (Arcom) on January1, 2022, was alerted to a segment in the program Par Jupiter! broadcast on France Inter on October 15, 2021.

First of all, it noted that this program, and in particular the reported segment, was clearly humorous. Humorous programs, which allow for excess and exaggeration, benefit from a special regime in terms of respect for rights and freedoms. However, the use of humor cannot mask illegitimate aims, such as undermining human dignity. In the case in point, the Council considered that such an infringement had not occurred.

Consequently, the Council did not intervene with the publisher concerned.
