Arcom alerted about a sequence from the program Quotidien shown on June 24, 2024 on TMC.
The Authority noted that the sequence in question, which was not clearly presented as a caricature or pastiche, had been edited in such a way as to distort the real meaning of the images shown, and this in an electoral context requiring heightened vigilance. It therefore considered that this sequence, which could have misled viewers, infringed the provisions of articles 1 and 2 of the deliberation of April 18, 2018.
Consequently, Arcom firmly reminded the service editor of the need to ensure compliance with the aforementioned obligations.
