Arcom was alerted to comments made by certain journalists lamenting the lack of response from politicians belonging to La France insoumise following the tragedy in Crans-Montana on the programme *L’Heure des pros 2 Week-end*, with diffusion on CNews on 2 January 2026.

Whilst Arcom noted that the exchanges on set were essentially commentary and the expression of opinions within the context of political debate – which, by its very nature, allows for a greater freedom of tone – it nevertheless noted that there was no obligation on La France Insoumise or any other political party to speak out publicly on this matter and that, in any event, no intention of ‘separatism’could be inferred from this.

In this context, Arcom informed the broadcaster of the public outcry caused by this segment and summoned its attention to the need to ensure, in all circumstances, that the content shown on air is honest and accurate.
