A complaint was lodged with Arcom following the diffusion on CNews on 23 February 2026, during the programme *L’Heure des pros*, of a segment in which Richard Millet made comments regarding the singer Aya Nakamura.

Pursuant to Article 3-1 of the Act of 30 September 1986 on freedom of communication, Arcom “ensures respect for women’s rights in the field of audiovisual communication. To this end, it ensures, […] the portrayal of women in these programmes, in particular by fighting against stereotypes, sexist prejudices and degrading images […] ’. Under the provisions of Article 2-3-2 of the CNews licence agreement: ‘The broadcaster shall ensure in its programme […] that it does not encourage discriminatory behaviour based on any of the grounds referred to in Article 21 of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union or in Article 225-1 of the Criminal Code ’.

Whilst Arcom did not find any breach given the immediate on-air correction – as the remarks had been repeated by both the male presenter and a commentator – it nevertheless made a point of informing the channel of the public outcry caused by this segment.
