A complaint has been lodged with Arcom regarding the programme “Parlons amour”, shown on RTL on Thursday 12 February 2026 between 8.00 pm and 10.00 pm.

In accordance with the provisions of Article 8 of Decree No. 87-239 of 6 April 1987, adopted to implement Article 27-1° of Law No. 86-1067 of 30 September 1986 on freedom of communication and laying down the rules applicable to advertising and sponsorship for private radio broadcasting services shown via terrestrial or satellite channels , ‘advertising messages must be clearly announced and identified as such ’. Pursuant to Article 3-3 of the agreement between Arcom and SAS RTL France Radio concerning the RTL service, ‘[The licence holder] shall ensure that advertising messages are clearly announced and identified as such. To this end, all advertising blocks shall be preceded and followed by audio cues that are easily recognisable by listeners or by appropriate on-air announcements. Programmes must not encourage the purchase or hire of products or services through any person speaking on air, and must not, in particular, contain specific promotional references to such products or services”.

At its meeting on 17 June 2026, Arcom ruled that during the programme *Parlons amour*, references to the Club des belles âmes contravened the aforementioned provisions andamounted to advertising—not identified as such—in favour of this dating club, given the frequency with which it was mentioned and the repeated encouragements to join it. It was also noted that the collaborative links between Karine Lemarchand, the experts and Le Club des belles âmes encouraged a favourable narrative in support of the club created and run by the female presenter.

Consequently, Arcom wrote to RTL to strongly demand that it ensure compliance with advertising regulations.
