A complaint was lodged with Arcom regarding the diffusion on W9, on 30 September 2025, of the programme “Tout beau tout n9uf”, during which a panellist described the fact that people define their gender independently of their sexas a “ problem ”.

Meeting in plenary session on 6 May 2026, Arcom deliberated on the matter.

It reiterates that discrimination cannot be regarded as an opinion and constitutes behaviour prohibited by law. Broadcasters are required to ensure, in all circumstances, that comments shown on air do not contribute to trivialising or legitimising such behaviour, whatever its basis or target.

Consequently, Arcom has strongly urged Métropole Télévision to exercise greater care in its editorial treatment of these subjects, in order to prevent such incidents from repeating.
