A complaint was lodged with Arcom regarding the diffusion on W9, on 16 September 2025, of the programme “Tout beau tout n9uf”, during which a guest commented on the reasons that had led a minister to report an influencer’s TikTok account, saying: she wants to have sex” and later added “I’ve got nothing against that bitch ”.

Meeting in plenary session on 6 May 2026, Arcom deliberated on the matter.

Pursuant to Article 3-1 of the Act of 30 September 1986, Arcom “ensures respect for women’s rights in the field of audiovisual communication. To this end, itmonitors […] the portrayal of women in these programmes, in particular by fighting against stereotypes, sexist prejudices and degrading images […] ’, which the broadcaster has, moreover, undertaken to comply with under Article 2-3-12 of its agreement.

In this case, Arcom considered that the disputed remarks constituted a breach of the aforementioned provisions. Their diffusion was accompanied by a wide shot of the audience’s laughter and applause. The female presenter also added: “No, no, no, she’s a friend as well […] actually, she’s really nice […], she’s a sweetheart and I’ll give her a kiss […] She’s a mate and she’s brilliant ”.

On the one hand, the presenter’s intervention, based solely on his personal ties with the person in question, was not sufficient to establish that the remarks were sexist. On the other hand, given the context, the reaction of a commentator ( “that joke wouldn’t have gone down well if it had been a man who was the minister”) was not, on its own, sufficient to ensure control of the broadcast. Consequently, it also noted a breach of the obligation to maintain control over the broadcast, as set out in Article 2-2-1 of the service agreement.

Consequently, Arcom strongly summoned Métropole Télévision to ensure compliance with these obligations in future.
