As part of the legal sanctions proceedings initiated on April 10, 2024 against Société d'exploitation d'un service d'information (S.E.S.I.) concerning the CNews television service regarding compliance with the provisions of article 1 of the deliberation of April 18, 2018, to which articles 2-3-7 and 2-2-1 of its agreement refer, Arcom decided to impose the financial penalty provided for in 1. of article 4-2-2 of its agreement, to set the amount of this sanction at 20,000 euros, for breaches observed during the diffusion of the program Punchline Eté on August 8, 2023.
This sum will be allocated to the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée in accordance with article L. 116-5 of the Code du cinéma et de l'image animée.
