Arcom was alerted to comments about civilian victims of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict made on the Punchline program shown on CNews on November 3, 2023.
While these remarks may legitimately have caused offence, the Authority has taken note of the reactions on set, recalling the equal value of human life for all victims of the conflict, as well as the importance of applying international law to all parties involved.
As a result, the Authority did not find that the service editor had failed to meet its obligations, and therefore took no action against it.
