The French Superior Audiovisual Council, which became the Autorité de régulation de la communication audiovisuelle et numérique (Arcom) on January1, 2022, was asked by the campaign manager of a candidate in the 2022 presidential election to comment on the implementation of current rules governing plurality in the audiovisual media.
In its reply, the Committee reiterated the rules applicable to the counting of speeches by the President of the Republic outside the election period and, from January1, 2022 and in application of its notice of October 6, 2021, during the election period.
