The French Superior Audiovisual Council (Arcom since January1, 2022) has approved the takeover of A Télé, holder of two authorizations to show the local television service Alsace 20 in the Strasbourg and Mulhouse areas, by Groupe News Participations (GNP), a subsidiary of the Altice Média group, as the transaction was not likely to substantially modify the relevant markets.
It also considered that the transaction did not appear likely to bring about a substantial change in the data on the basis of which the authorization was granted, nor to compromise the fundamental imperative of plurality and the public interest.
