Taratata 100% Live" broadcast on France 2 on December 20, 2024
Arcom was alerted following the diffusion on France 2, on December 20, 2024 in the program Taratata 100% Live, of a sequence devoted to an interview with the members of the group Shaka Ponk.
It ruled that the comments made during this segment, which formed part of a political polemic that by its very nature authorized greater freedom of tone, did not constitute a breach of the channel's obligations. It points out that the European Court of Human Rights has consistently held that political figures should be more tolerant of criticism.
Consequently, the Authority considered that there was no need for it to intervene with the publisher.
However, it informed the channel of the disquiet caused by this sequence, and reminded it of the requirement for impartiality to which public service editors are subject under the provisions of article 3-1 of the law of September 30, 1986.
