Arcom was alerted to a sequence on the show Touche pas à mon poste! broadcast on March 31, 2023 on C8, during which four people, presented by the host as belonging to the BRAV-M police unit, were invited to express their views on the controversy surrounding their activity.

The Authority noted that the host expressly stated, on several occasions, that four of his representatives had agreed to an exclusive interview. However, in a subsequent broadcast dated April 3, 2023, the host admitted that at least one of these people did not belong to BRAV-M and had been dismissed from the National Police.

The results of the administrative investigation carried out by the Préfecture de Police de Paris following the broadcast showed that, in the end, none of the four participants was a member of the BRAV-M.

Consequently, the sequence appears likely to characterize a breach of the requirement for honesty and rigor in the presentation and processing of information, as set out in article 1 of the deliberation of April 18, 2018.

Consequently, the Authority has firmly warned the publisher of the C8 channel against repeating such a breach.
