Touche pas à mon poste!" show broadcast on March 23, 2022: response to the plaintiffs
Arcom was alerted to a sequence shown on the program Touche pas à mon poste! broadcast on March 23, 2022 on C8, devoted to the psychological consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic among youngsters.
It considered that the reported comments could not be regarded as offensive to human dignity, and were part of a general-interest debate devoted in particular to inequalities in access to vaccination around the world.
In this respect, the AMF points out that, according to the established case law of the European Court of Human Rights, freedom of expression applies " not only to information or ideas that are favorably received or regarded as inoffensive or as a matter of indifference, but also to those that offend, shock or disturb the State or any section of the population ".
Consequently, the Authority did not intervene against the service editor.
