Arcom was alerted to the aerial display of an advertising brand during the diffusion of the Tour de France 2023 on July 19 and 20, 2023 on France 3.

It found that the conditions under which this brand was displayed on screen constituted surreptitious advertising, in breach of the provisions of article 9 of the decree of March 27, 1992 laying down the general principles defining the obligations of service editors with regard to advertising, sponsorship and teleshopping.

As a result, the Autorité has firmly demanded that the service editor ensure compliance with advertising regulations in the future.
