Opinion no. 2009-2 of March 3, 2009 on the proposed modification of the national plan for analog broadcasting switch-off and shift to digital broadcasting

On February 23, 2009, the French Superior Audiovisual Council (Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel) was asked to give its opinion, in application of article 99 of the amended law no. 86-1067 of September 30, 1986 on freedom of communication, on a draft amendment to the national scheme for stopping analog broadcasting and shifting to digital.

After deliberation at its plenary meeting on March 3, 2009, it issued a favorable opinion on the project submitted to it.

It points out that, in accordance with the principle of dividing up geographical areas as set out in the national plan for the cessation of analogue diffusion and the shift to digital, approved by the Prime Minister by order of December 22, 2008, the regions concerned are Provence and Côte d'Azur (in the sense of France 3's opting-out areas).
