Opinion no. 2010-11 of May 11, 2010 on the draft decree on the composition of departmental commissions for the transition to digital television

On April 22, 2010, the French Superior Audiovisual Council (Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel), meeting in plenary session on May 11, 2010, issued a favorable opinion on a draft decree concerning the composition of departmental commissions for the transition to digital television.

However, the Conseil hopes that the procedures for appointing commission members will enable them to be appointed as quickly as possible, particularly in regions where the switchover to "all-digital" television is imminent. To this end, a wording is proposed in the appendix.

In addition, for the purposes of broader information, it would be useful for prefects to involve all interested elected representatives and all the players concerned (landlords, antenna operators, distributors, property managers, associations likely to inform or help the elderly, disabled or isolated, etc.) in the commission's meetings.

This notice will be published in the Journal officiel de la République française.

Paris, May 11th 2010.

For the French Superior Audiovisual Council,
Le président,
M. Boyon
