At its plenary meeting on October 1, 2002, the French Superior Audiovisual Council adopted the text of its response to the "development of French electronic communications law", as part of the public consultation launched by the French government in preparation for the transposition of the "telecom package".
This public consultation addresses a number of issues which, while not necessarily directly linked to the transposition of EU texts, concern the organization of regulation itself, as well as the legal regime for service distribution and the method of frequency allocation for audiovisuel services.
