The French Superior Audiovisual Council has adopted a notice addressed to all television and radio broadcasters with a view to the December 11, 2002 elections for the position of employee representative.

"The amended law of September 30, 1986 entrusts the French Superior Audiovisual Council with the mission of ensuring plurality in the expression of currents of thought and opinion. As part of this mission, the Council issues the following notice to all television and radio services:
all broadcasters must ensure, with due respect for plurality,
- to inform public opinion about what is at stake in this election,
- report on current events related to the election,
- that, in each of the two colleges (employers and employees), the different lists benefit from equitable presentation and access to the airwaves."
