Notice no. 2021-08 concerning a request for interim measures ancillary to the submission of a case before the Competition Authority by Canal Plus Group concerning practices implemented by the Professional Football League (Ligue de Football Professionnel)
The French Superior Audiovisual Council,
Having regard to the French Commercial Code, in particular article R. 463-9 ;
Having regard to Act no. 86-1067 of September 30, 1986, as amended, on freedom of communication, in particular article 41-4 ;
Having regard to the letter dated February 24, 2021 from the Competition Authority inviting the Conseil supérieur de l'audiovisuel to comment on the demand for precautionary measures in the context of the submission of a case before the court by Groupe Canal Plus concerning practices implemented by the Ligue de Football Professionnel;
Having regard to the requests for information sent by the French Superior Audiovisual Council to Groupe Canal Plus and the Ligue de Football Professionnel on March 4, 2021;
Having regard to the response of Groupe Canal Plus dated March 12, 2021 and the response of the Ligue de Football Professionnel dated March 11, 2021;
Having regard to the other documents in the file;

Delivers the following opinion:
