In accordance with article 53 of French law no. 86-1067 of September 30, 1986 on freedom of communication, the French Superior Audiovisual Council is summoned to issue an opinion on the annual report on implementation of the Contract of Objectives and Means (COM) signed between the French State and the national program company Radio France 2015-2019.
The Board's opinion covers 2017, the third year of implementation of the COM.
The COM 2015-2019 summons the national program company Radio France to pursue three main strategic objectives:
- to develop an editorial strategy aimed at strengthening the complementarity between the various stations in order to offer a reference supply to a wide audience in a multimedia environment ;
- consolidate its role as a major player in French musical and cultural creation, targeting all audiences;
- to modernise the management of the company, in particular by strengthening social dialogue, and to implement the conditions for a return to breakeven.
