According to a Hadopi survey, 89% of French Internet users say they consume go paperless cultural objects during periods of confinement, an increase of 5 points in two weeks.
Initiated by the supreme authority for the distribution and protection of intellectual property on the internet, Hadopi's 2nd wave of its barometer on cultural practices at home during periods of confinement* reveals that, after four weeks of confinement, 89% of Internet users surveyed go paperless, compared with 84% after two weeks of confinement (1st wave) and 81% in 2019 (Baromètre Hadopi de la consommation 2019), an increase of 5 points in two weeks and 8 points in one year. 56% of Internet users* - compared with 53% during the first fortnight of confinement - now place the consumption of cultural objects (listening to music, watching films, series, playing video games, reading books, particularly digital books...) at the top of the list of activities essential to personal balance during confinement, followed by manual activities (41%) and playing sport (37%), an increase of 3 points. In the current situation of confinement, access to go paperless cultural goods seems even more of a necessity for the French.
