According to a supreme authority for the distribution and protection of intellectual property on internet survey, 28% of French Internet users now consume one or more cultural objects unlawfully, compared with 21% at the start of the containment period (+7 points in two weeks).
While illegal use of cultural objects thus increased during the containment period, 33% of illegal users also claimed to have increased their legal consumption of one or more cultural objects over the same period, compared with the pre-containment period.
