Hadopi has contributed to a mission on the impact and development prospects of artificial intelligence (AI) in criminal proceedings, entrusted by the Prime Minister to the Conseil d'Etat, in the field of copyright.
The objectives of this mission were to identify cases of AI use by the State and public authorities in general, to assess the potential impact of AI development on criminal proceedings, and to define the conditions for the proper use of this tool by administrations.
The supreme authority for the distribution and protection of intellectual property on internet, Hadopi, has proposed a number of responses in its field of competence, and has produced an appendix providing an initial inventory of the use of artificial intelligence for copyright protection.
