Arcom publishes its report on the application of the deliberation of May 17, 2017 on the fight against doping and the protection of people practicing physical activities and sports for the 2020 fiscal year.

Summary

On May 17, 2017, the French Superior Audiovisual Council (now the French regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communication, Arcom) adopted a deliberation relating to the fight against doping and the protection of people practicing physical and sporting activities, which defines the terms of application of article 20-3 of the law of September 30, 1986.

This resolution takes up the spirit of the previous resolution adopted on this subject, in force from 2012 to 2016. It makes provision for channels to contribute a minimum of two programs on each of the two themes mentioned in the law: the fight agains doping, on the one hand, and the protection of people practicing physical activities and sports, on the other.

The present report covers the application of the deliberation for the year 2020. Of the 33 national channels subject to the law in 2020, 17 applied it in full, 14 applied it partially and two did not comply.
